Abdul-Malik Abdul-Latif is a Nutritionist and Public Health Professional with 5 years experience in the implementation of programmes targeted towards the improvement of maternal and child health. He holds a Master of Public Health degree with some experience in the economic evaluation of health care programmes. His research interests are in maternal and child health. He is credited for the operationalization of the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre in Nkwanta South District, which serves as a referral facility for the management of cases of Severe Acute Malnutrition in four districts in Northern Volta, Ghana. He is a member of the Ghana Nutrition Association.

Afua Serwah Nyamekye Nkansah, is a law student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Through her internship at KPN Law Consult Law Firm, as a research assistant on the "Election Petitions in Africa", she helped in the development of the law and delivery of justice. She also managed cases, wrote legal opinions, and drafted legal documents. Currently, she is interning at the Attorney General’s Office, Ghana where she undertakes clerkship duties for the Principal State Attorney. The YALI program will build her leadership edge for future justice service endeavors.

Her organization, The Fabulous Woman Network with over 2,000,000 views on facebook in total, has organized a conference for 300`+ women, training sessions for 100 participants and shared over 120 inspirational stories on social media. Ama was the Learning and Development Manager for an international 4 star hotel in Ghana. Before that, she had stints with Standard Chartered Bank, Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Baylis and Harding PLC (UK) and Camp joy (US). She is a graduate of Paris Graduate School of Management with Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources, University of Ghana and Archbishop Porter Girls School.

Ms. Augustina Dotse is national service personnel with a Non-Governmental Organization. The organization’s main concern is to help improve the livelihood of the deprived children in the Baatsona community through health and educational programs. So far, Augustina has screened 188 children as part of the organization’s bi-annual screening exercise to determine the health status of children who are consistently dewormed and provided with hygienic kits including toothbrushes and pastes. The organization also provides food for struggling families and enrolls registered children in schools with the proper learning stationeries.

Beatrice has played significant roles in student activism as the first female Speaker of Parliament in KNUST, Chief Justice of the University Students Association of Ghana and the Majority leader of Students of Parliament.

Daniel Ackah is a civic leader by training and an educationist by profession. Ackah is passionate about positive influential change, youth capacity development and entrepreneurial training. He is the President of African Christian Youth Network (ACYN) in Takoradi, Ghana in areas of advocacy, training, education and counseling. Daniel served in Abuesi in the Shama district of the western region of Ghana in 2009.

He started ACYN in 2015 to help reduce the school dropout rate and to promote girl child education. His team has been able to get 60 girls back to school and given entrepreneurial training to 25 parents to start businesses.

He has worked extensively on the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization Project that seeks to prevent and treat HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections along the corridor of Abidjan and Lagos.

Dominic specializes in food safety and control, health protection, community nutrition, environmental protection and climate change. He believes a lasting solution is one engineered by the beneficiaries.

Emmanuel Quainoo is a multi-faceted business professional with training in accounting, finance, corporate management and economics. Mr Quainoo is extremely passionate about creating value and improving livelihood through the impartation of knowledge and relevant skills, and has been a volunteer instructor for Compassion International, Ghana, in helping to train over 300 poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable children.

He completed my first degree in Commerce (B.COM) from University of Cape Coast, in May 2016. The University of Cape Coast Business School twice awarded Emmanuel in 2013 and 2015 in recognition of his outstanding grades and excellence performance. In a quest to improve standard of living, especially in rural areas, Mr Quainoo is currently working out ways of processing agricultural wastes to create more economic value.

She currently facilitates international trade and helps collect revenue via the Pre Arrival Assessment Reporting System (PAARS) where Customs Classification and Valuation Reports (CCVR’s) are issued prior to the arrival of vessels to prevent delays at the ports.

After completing the Young African Leadership Institute (YALI) Regional Leadership Center West Africa program, it is Hannah’s desire to bring immediate and strategic value to her workplace and continue her professional career by applying and developing her skills and knowledge further.

Her passion for community service and change, led her to fundraise to support children living with cancer, HIV/AIDS at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He has worked as a staff and a volunteer with MASLOC, HAYTAFORD, NAWAG, Nadowli/Kaleo District Assembly, Jacob’s Well Appeal Ghana, and Wa PTA/SMC Coalition. Peter won Vodafone world of difference project in 2012 and trained about 15 groups comprising about 150 women on skills training on income generating activities. Some past projects include CETA-plus, ITCD, Livelihood-microcredit among others mostly leading in the fiels of advocacy, monitoring and evaluation aspects.

Petra Dzidedi Deku-Amegbor is the Program Officer for the Bengls Centre. The Bengls Centre was established in Ghana in 2015 to engage the youth in peace education through training, advocacy and empowerment.

So far, Bengls Centre has held two training programs at the Suhum Islamic Girls Senior High School, which resulted in the payment of fees of six under-privileged girls, and the halting of a purported forced marriage of a participant with the help of school authorities.

As a Gender Desk Officer, she facilitates workshops, capacity building programs and campaigns in Gender Mainstreaming and Equity, Violence against women and children, and National Peace keeping.

She is dedicated to creating an enabling environment to empower the youth; especially the girl-child and is currently helping 3 girls and a boy get quality education with her personal funds.

The initiative empowered 20 young females in the Kurofa rural area to bridge the gap between rural and urban lifestyles and equip them with practical sessions on grooming, social etiquette and entrepreneurship.

Wisdom Kafui Honu is a Finance Student who is very passionate about Quality Education in Africa. He is the Co-founder of Idea Africa, an NGO that builds innovative libraries with $350 for rural communities around Africa. He also equips children between the ages of six and sixteen with excellent computer coding skills, to develop their capacity in problem solving both in and outside the classroom. In eleven months, He has built three libraries in Ghana and one currently on going in Nigeria.

About 600 children benefit from these libraries. He also reaches out to children in very deprived communities in Ghana with mobile Library services. His Code for Kids project won the overall best Project last year Life link model UN conference in Ghana.

She received the leadership award as the best student leader at the 16th congregation of GIMPA, the first time the institution gave this award. To date, Franklin’s organization has successfully organized 02 workshops on youth entrepreneurship and over 04 advocacy campaigns and 03 radio talk shows on the prevalence of non-communicable diseases in Cameroon. With these projects, he has been able to reach out to almost 1000 men, women and youths in 03 subdivisions of the North West Region of Cameroon.

Mr Ouedraogo has actively participated in several CVE conferences including the USAID CVE conference in December 2013, and the Youth CVE Summit in New York in September 2015.
